Wow, this wedding experience. I don’t even know where to begin. I’ve continuously told Kristi that she will forever be the “Bride that Brought Me Back.” And what I mean by that is that her wedding to Mike was my first weekend back after the coronavirus pandemic shut everything down. And for that reason, this couple will always remain very special to me.
Their journey to get to this wedding day wasn’t a “normal” one that’s for sure. But the thing that Kristi didn’t want to change was the wedding date. And so they didn’t, and Saturday, September 5th, 2020 Kristi and Mike were married.
Their original wedding was that of a large one and actually at a different venue completely. However, the pandemic certainly redirected their planning, and Kristi and Mike reimagined their wedding day completely.
This meant that their wedding was now comprised of a very small ceremony on the Paradise Views Patio, overlooking Paradise Valley and the surrounding mountains. Following the ceremony and breathtaking sunset photos , the joined all of their children for dinner.
Their private diner started with a gracious welcome by the famous Chef Beau Macmillan. The feast took place in the sophisticated and luxurious setting of “XII” (Table 12) that provided an interactive dining experience.
In hindsight, Kristi shared with me that she couldn’t have imagined it any other way.
Thank you Kristi and Mike for being true pioneers, forging through the uncertain waters, and the great efforts to seek out the celebration that you both most certainly deserved. You endured so much and I was beyond honored to be by your side. The best things in life aren’t easy, but wow are they ever worth it.
